Teaching is with Sensei Michael Harris, JKA who has over 20 years karate experience. The emphasis on kihon (basics), kumite (sparring) & kata (forms) where we all learn together as a fellowship.

BEGINNERS CLASS STARTS 12 OCTOBER 2010 - JUST WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING. Current karate-ka, visitors and 'Ronin' students are very welcome.

Training begins from 12th October 2010. Classes are Tuesday 6.45-8.15pm & Friday 7-8pm at Kingsdown Sports Centre. Regular national courses and local gradings, recognised worldwide.

The JKA are a non-profit making organisation. The cost is £3.50 per class with licences costing £20 (incl insurance). Loose clothing is fine and a dogi (suit) costs around £30.

Learn traditional shotokan karate with the Japan Karate Association, the largest of it's kind and officially recognised by the Japanese government as the worldwide foundation for karate.
